Reshaping Teaching and Learning at Hwa Chong. We are the future.

Being the ultra-conservative one, I am entire resistant to changes; in fact i despise changing for the sake of changing. I prefer the status quo, especially when the current situation is good enough to produce so many A's for A-levels examinations.

Hence, I suggest the tried and tested method of using the whiteboard to teach, instead of spending vast amount of money on smartboard (those digital ones with digital pens and digital touchscreen), touchscreen notbook, when lecturers barely scratch the surface of the potential of these teaching tools. I see no effectiveness in using the new media, such as videos and animations to teach concepts, when students tend to find such sessions most suitable for sleeping, coupled with the ambient lighting and the monotonous/melodious voices from the speakers attempting to lull us all into deep slumber.

If we are the future, do not destroy it for us! Stay to the status quo where everything is working well, and keep taxpayers' money for better use.
