The squash season kicked off today as the guys team faced their first opponents from TPJC.

Although TPJC was not one of the stronger competitors in the competition, the guys were not complacent and did their best to secure a resounding 5 - 0 victory over their opponents. The first game was played by captain Chan Zhi Jie, who whitewashed his opponent 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 in straight sets. This raised the team's morale as they fought to secure the following games.

Next up, I crushed a snail on wednesday bassist, superband finalist and talentime band winner Jonathan Soh showcased his versatility and all-roundedness as he took an easy win over his opponent in similar fashion, with individual set scores of 9-0, 9-0, 9-0. The third game saw Ryn Aldridge Wu face off against the captain of TPJC. However, he remained unfazed and kept his composure as he clinched the victory in 3 straight sets of 9-0, 9-1, 9-0.
Following that, Darren Toh overpowered his opponent with a series of hard drives and amazing agility as he too obtained victory in straight sets of 9-1, 9-0, 9-0. The last game saw Tan Yi Wen playing against his former senior. However, this did not upset his concentration as he wrapped up the game neatly with straight set victories of 9-0, 9-1, 9-0.
This was a good start to the season as the boys hope to continue with their excellent form in their upcoming matches.
